Plot - I
The Giant's garden was very beautiful. Every afternoon the children used to play in that garden. It was very much pretty. It was full of soft green grass. There were twelve peach-tress, in the springtime they blossomed in pink and pearl colour and in the autumntime, they turned into rich fruit. Children used to stop their game and listen to the songs of the birds, that much of the sweet voice the birds had in that garden. He went to visit his friend's place and after seven years he came from there. When he entered his garden, he saw many children playing. With his rough voice, he shouted to the children. Because of it, the children ran away. To stop the children to enter into garden, he put up a notice board, like "Trespassers will be prosecuted".
The children in the village were very disappointed. Because they had no place to play. They tried to play on The road in the village but it was very dirty and full of hard stones. After their homework, they thought about their happy days in the garden.
It was a spring season. All the places were turned greenish and flowers were blossoming here and there, except the garden. The birds were singing lovely in other places but in the garden the winter till there. One of the beautiful flower head out from the grass but when it saw the notice board and came to know that children were not allowed in the garden it slipped back into the ground. The snow and the frost remained there. The full place was covered with white snow and frost. Both of them (snow and frost) invited the North Wind to stay with them. Then the North Wind invited the Hail. So the total garden looked very strange. The Giant cannot tolerate the winter. His breath was like ice. He waited for a long but till the winter remained there. Every place in the summer gave nice fruits to the people. The summer was also not ready to enter into his garden.
One fine morning, he heard some lovely music. It sounded like a King's musician. He thought that it was the most beautiful music in the world. Suddenly the Hail stopped and the North wind ceased its roaring and a delicious perfume came to him. He thought that finally, spring arrived in his garden.
Plot - II
The Giant saw beautiful scenery. Through the small hole in the wall, the children were entering into the garden. In every tree, he could see the children. The tree was also very glad for their arrival so the tree covered themselves in blossoms. The birds started to sing, and the flowerers were looking up through the green grass and laughing. In one corner, it was still winter. Because a small boy couldn't reach up to the branches of the tree. He was so dull so the tree asked the boy to climb up. It bent down its branches. When the selfish Giant saw this, his heart melted. From that time onwards he decided to break the wall and allow every child into the garden.
He went out of his house and walked towards the boy. When the children saw him, they were run away. Due to the tears, the little boy couldn't see the Giant. The Giant took the little boy into his hand and put him into the tree. Suddenly the tree broke into blossoms and the birds were singing nicely. The little boy kissed him. When the children saw this, they came back. Along with them the spring also arrived. The Giant said, "It is your garden now, little children". He has broken down the wall. At twelve o'clock, when the people were going to market, they were shocked to see the Selfish Giant playing with the children. The evening arrived, so the children said goodbye to the Giant. Then he enquired about the little boy who kissed him because he loved him. The children answered that they were never seen before. So the Giant felt very sad. Every afternoon, when the school was over, the children went to the garden. Daily the Giant was expecting the little boy but he never saw him again.
After many years went, the Giant grew old and feeble. Due to his health and age, he sat in an armchair and watched the children's games and admired his garden.
One fine winter season, he looked outside the window, the wonders of wonder, the tree in the corner side tree had beautiful flowers and fruits. He rushed to see the wonder, he went out and near the tree. He saw the little boy who expected to see in his past years. His joy knew no bounds. At the same time, the Giant face turned red because the palms of the child's hand and the little feet were the prints of two nails. The Giant was ready to slay the person who did that. Then the little boy answered that the wounds were the symbol of love. Then the Giant came to realise that he was the Christ. So he knelt before the little boy.
The child smiled and said to him, "You let me play once in your garden; today you shall come with me to my garden, which is paradise".
When the other children arrived in the afternoon, they were shocked to see Giant lying dead under the tree and white flowers were covered him.
