Classifications of verb

What is a verb? 

A verb is an action word. It shows the action done by the subject or object. 

Classifications of the verb : 

• Regular and Irregular verb 
• Finite and Non Finite verb 
• Transitive and Intransitive verb

Regular and Irregular verbs : 

Regular Verbs 

1. Mostly by adding "ed" at the end of the base verb, then the present form of the verb is changed into past form and past participle form. 
2. If the base form of the verb ends with "y", we have to change "y" into "i".

Irregular verbs 

If we want to know the detailed format of the irregular verb then we have to know the four kinds of irregular verb. 

1. Group one   -  no changes in the present, past and past participle 
2. Group two   - Except for the base form, Two past forms remains the same 
3. Group three - Except past from, Base and Past participle remains the same
4. Group four  -  all forms are different from each other 

 Group one: 

            In this Group one, there is no change in Base form or present form, Past form and Past Participle form. These three forms remain the same.

Group two:

            In this Group two, both past tense and past participle remain the same, but the base form or present form is different from others. 

Examples

Group three:

            In this Group three, both the base form or Present form and the Past Participle remain the same, but the past form is different from others.

Examples

Group four:

            In this Group four, the base form or present form, Past form and past participle are different from each other. 

Examples
