 Noun 

                     A noun is a word that is the name of a person, thing or place. There are four important kinds of the noun. They are, 

• Proper Noun 
• Common Noun 
• Abstract Noun 
• Collective Noun 

1. Proper Noun : 

              Proper Noun is the name of a particular person, place or thing. It begins with a capital letter. They include names of the people (Ram), countries (India), cities (Madras), town (Palayamkottai), village (Krishnapuram), river (Yamuna), ship (Titanic), the name of the tree (Neem tree), Building (Corporation), mountains (Himalayan), sea (Arabian Sea), the month of the year (March), days of the week (Monday) and festivals (Diwali).

2. Common Noun :

                  It's the name of every person or thing of the same group or class. For example book, pen, man, taxi, girl, boy, bird.

3.Abstract Noun :

                  An abstract noun is the name of a quality, feeling or action. For example Kindness, Honesty, Joy, Death, Peace, Poverty.

4. collective noun : 

                 A collective noun is the name of a group of person or things. For example, Cattle, class, army, crowd, family.
